  2. Under a directive by the parole division of the DOC, each inmate, prior to release, is mandated to attend the Police and Corrections program. The program addresses issues which may confront newly released inmates. A DMV representative attends program meetings, collects relevant identification from inmates and takes pictures so ID can be issued upon release. However, this card alone does not meet DMV requirements and another form of proof is required along with the ID card.

ALTERNATE DOCUMENTS
 

Applicant must establish proof of ID using alternate documents – must provide separate documents for at least three of the four following combinations.

1. Name and date of birth
2. Name and photo
3. Name and signature
4. Name and local mailing address

Other Alternate Documents

  • Local area business mail sent to the customer by a utility, retailer, employer
    or bank is acceptable le as evidence of name and local mailing address.
  • Employee ID cards, with name photo of employee, issued in a secure manner
    by an employer where ID is an integral part of security of the organization.
  • Authentic foreign documents are acceptable as proof of ID.
